It was nice to do a bit of a landscape scene for this page. I hope it injects a bit of atmosphere. Despite the Abbath character being an ad-hoc creation (like I say on the title page I'm writing this as I go along), I'm having quite a bit of fun turning him into a bit of a slimeball - at least to our eyes. Is he a lot nicer than we realize? We'll see. Our bearded stranger is tagging along - so far we know very little about him or his identity - you will need a bit of patience before learning more about him. His role will be significant, I can promise you that!

Really love how you drew the giant rocks that make up that mountain and it's unusual formation. Very cool city design.

Thanks! I like cities and architecture that kind of 'grow out' of the environment. Much of my inspiration for that is from the artwork of Roger Dean and the hobbit holes from LOTR, things like that. I like it when fantasy has fantastic elements even in the rock formation and vegetation.

I like the flow of this story so far...keeps me guessing and intrigued. Beautiful art

Glad you like it! I'm learning a lot about showing rather than telling the story - characters' pasts and motivations as well as the world they live in will be revealed as the story progresses, so that there's always something new and (hopefully) surprising to learn.

It always takes me more than a minute or two to take your visuals in before I can start reading your page.

Breathtaking art as always!

Thanks! That's a real compliment coming from someone with your abilities.

I hope to keep up this standard - and there's more fantastic landscapes and places to be explored in the future.
