For the first time, we meet some of the other huntresses that populate the hive. This one seems to have some animosity towards Saphyr - clearly there is a history between the two.
You can see that each huntress has a distinct outfit and set of tattoos and bone piercings - this reflects the pecking order and various achievements within the hive - but more on that as the story progresses.
Heading inside the chambers of the hive means more darkness - so the blacks and shadows will start to reflect that and hopefully create a different atmosphere.

You touch upon some interesting social and cultural phenomena here, like the "animosity" between siblings for instance, and "The pecking order". I have always wondered why siblings have to be so competitive with each other, hence the term "sibling rivalry", and why in society a "pecking order" is so important. Why can't people be considered more equal to each other, rather than inferior to each other for one reason or another? Social hierarchies, in my opinion, tend to create a lot of unnecessary misery, but I guess if a person believes that we are essentially no different than animals in the jungle, then they would think that the same laws that apply to animals would apply to us humans. I however, believe that humans are above animals, and that we can transcend jealousy and treat each other with love. Lol I guess I am a hippie.
You see what your update did! It made me think!
Great work.

That's an excellent and very thoughtful comment, it's very cool to see you picked up on this aspect of the comic. It will be a theme running through story as a subtext. I think you can already tell by the way the story is playing out so far that I don't think much of hierarchies either - but they are a big part of Saphyr's world and will will be explored in all their ramifications...

Great story but I'm always in awe of the ridiculously awesome amount of detail and patience put into your pages!

Thanks as always! I live by the motto 'more is more' (at least artistically) ;).
