This page and the last one give a few tiny hints to the backstory of the now beardless stranger without answering any of the big questions - those will have to wait. But clearly he's in a tricky situation as well - He's not really a prisoner - he could walk out at any time, but should he? Saphyr seems to have had a sense that he has nowhere to run to…or does he?
Th Cull will be on hiatus for one week over Christmas, so the next page will be up on the 4th of January. The next page will have a bit of a suprise (in a couple of senses), so come back and check it out in the New Year!

Have a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and a Happy New year!

This guy appears to be very high up in the cliff face (the hive was it? sorry I forgot)
Maybe he could be related to Saphyr?
A brother perhaps?
A past lover maybe?

You're right, he's very high up on the cliff-face, glad that came across on the last panel. At the end of the last chapter, Saphyr left him with her grandfather, Olias, up in the mountains. It's not too far from Adanai, the location of the Hive, where Saphyr is currently imprisoned. In panel three, he's actually looking across at Adanai through the window.

Thanks for the comments and your questions will be answered in due time ;).

Oh! Whoops! I didn't even realize this was the same guy!
In that case, I don't think he could be a past lover or Saphyr's brother because she would have been able to recognize him immediately, and he wouldn't be speaking a different language! Right?
In that case, my guess is that this guy could either be from the past, the future, another land, or another planet!
Perhaps he is one of the last surviving members of the civilization that existed before the apocalypse.
But, like you said, I will eventually find out!

Not surprising you didn't recognize him right away... He had a shave and haircut. He needed a grooming, I think. Also very clever the way you figured out the elevation. You know your perspective theory!

Oh, and I figured out the height thing from the image of that odd rock formation in the window.
Since it was perpendicular to his view, that would mean he would have to be very high up, because it was shown in an earlier page to be much higher above the horizon and at a distance.

I hope that sting didn't infect him with anything... Another great page. Happy holidays!
